This video project, for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, came to us at an early stage in their campaign to re-develop and re-imagine the site of Shakespeare’s final home. Created to serve a number of purposes, it was first shown by the trust’s director during a visit to the US to help inspire and inform potential American major donor prospects. In tandem, this video was also produced to convey the trust’s exciting new vision for New Place to the wider community. At the outset, the challenge for us was that many structures, artefacts and garden features had not yet been completed or finalised. Our solution was to take a ‘film trailer’ approach, giving tantalising glimpses of what was to come along with impactful and emotive imagery to convey something of the spirit and meaning behind the New Place project.
